The wait is over! Lady Gaga debuted her first solo music in three years, releasing the single "Perfect Illusion" online on late on Thursday, September 8

The song is the first track from the Grammy winner's eagerly anticipated fifth studio album, and is a part dance song, part rock song.
n the tune, which she co-produced with producer and DJ Mark Ronson,Kevin Parker and BloodPop, Gaga — who split from fiancé Taylor Kinney in July — sings about mistaking a crush for something more."Mistaken for love / It wasn't love / It was a perfect illusion," she sings
Gaga, 30, teased the release on social media, posting clips from her upcoming music video for the song. The New York Post's Page Six reports that it was filmed over two days in the desert near Los Angeles.
Ronson said in an interview in May that Gaga was learning to play guitar for her new album, the follow-up to 2013's Artpop. "She's never played guitar in public before," he told Charlie Rose.

"She's happiest when she's sitting at a piano, barking orders at a drummer," Ronson added. "That side of her, I don't think a lot of the world has seen. It's really great to make this very honest, authentic, kind of analog record with her."
Shortly after "Perfect Illusion" was released, new promos for American Horror Story's upcoming sixth season surfaced online using the haunting tune.
