Gay Bachelor Show Premiere Recap: Robert Sepulveda Jr. Goes Undercover With the Men, Drama and #Hashtags Ensue

Finding Prince Charming
Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life! Finding Prince Charming aired its series premiere on Thursday, September 8, following Robert Sepulveda Jr.as he chilled in a house with a bunch of eligible bros. So yeah, this show is basically
The Bachelor for gay men, which means it's progressive, important and completely flawless. Oh, and it's hosted by former 'NSync member and space enthusiast Lance Bass. YAAAAS! But side note: Bet he wishes this show took place on Mars.
Get to Know Robert
This handsome Atlanta-based dreamboat is head of a successful design firm, and spends his time making rainbow-colored crosswalks and being a silver fox. But hark! There's a missing piece in Robert's life: the perfect partner. Someone who's a "go-getter" and most importantly "has an amazing heart."
The solution? To chill out in a house with 13 randoms and then brutally reject them one at a time, naturally! May the odds be ever in their favor because this battle basically an IRL Hunger Games
Robert Undercover!
Because his hair is full of secrets, Robert decided to go ~undercover~ by sneaking into the mansion and — gasp! — posing as one of Prince Charming's boyfriends. Naturally, this plan totally failed because Robert is terrible at acting chill, but he managed to get to know his guys on a slightly deeper level.
Speaking of said guys, let's chat about Robert's boyfriends and their #hashtags. First we have Eric, a shy fella from Texas who just wants to be his authentic self. In fact, his hashtag is #BeMyself. Then we have Brandon, the formerly homeless alcoholic (#Happiness); Jasen, the celebrity makeup artist (#Chemistry); Charlie, the bearded manny (#WhatTheF--kChuck); and Nick, the college event administrator (#ImLivingForLoveButIHaventFoundItYet). Oh, and we can't forget about Sam, the director of planned giving who's never had a boyfriend but is a #HopefulRomantic.
So many great options, how is Robert going to choose? That's where his stealthy adventures come in. Thanks to being undercover, Robert finds out that Paul, the tanning company founder (#Perfectionist), only dates short guys, which is a major red flag because Robert is tall. Meanwhile, Brodney, the personal trainer (#ReadyForLove), revealed that he'd seen Robert at the gym, and they don't have any sparks. Bummer, so thank God there's still tons of guys to choose from.
Robby the Beauty Expert vs. Sam the Director of Planned Giving
After Robert revealed his true identity, and everyone was like, "Duh, yeah, we knew it was you," he was whisked away by Lance Bass to parts unknown — leaving the guys on their lonesome. Naturally, everything became highly tense and awkward, all thanks to Sam, the director of planned giving, who unfairly lashed out at Robby, the beauty expert. Sure, sure, Robby has a somewhat loud personality (he entered the house screaming "Party started bitches! I joke! I kid!"), and yes, his hashtag is #WhyBeA9IfYouCanBeA10 — but guys. Sam was way out of line when he accused Robby of being unauthentic. Robby's response? To accuse Sam of being a "virgo" who is "beige." Basically:
Robby: "You came in with a pin-striped suit, Mary."
Sam: "Fix your dress."
The shade! Lance Bass, come help these men help themselves! And speaking of our favorite boy-bander, there was fully an "it's gonna be me" joke in this episode, just saying.
